The Dispatch Operations Center is staffed by Four Police Dispatchers. Together, these skilled professionals provide call-taking and dispatching services for the residents and visitors of the University community.

Through these professional methods of operation, the Dispatch Operations Center is able to provide the community with the maximum degree of safety.
Responsibilities of the Dispatch Operations Center include receiving requests for Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services. Personnel act quickly and logically to dispatch emergency units to scenes that require immediate attention. Along with the tasks of handling emergency calls, the Dispatch Operations Center also handles routine requests from citizens both on the phone and in person at the station.
In order to provide the most accurate and expedient service to the community, all of the communications personnel are trained in the most advanced law enforcement equipment available, including: Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Oakland County's Courts and Law Enforcement Management Information System (CLEMIS), Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) and police radio and telephone systems.
Our Dispatch Operations Center personnel are often the first contact the public has during an emergency that requires Police, Fire and/or Emergency Medical Services. If you have an emergency, dial 911 immediately because every second counts and seconds save lives.
