Oakland University ordinances require all motorists to park in designated parking places only. Parking on the grass, on ends-of-rows, and on roadways or in fire lanes will result in the issuance of a citation. Improper parking in areas reserved for the handicapped will result in a $50.00 citation, and the vehicle towed at the owner’s expense. Some areas require a permit and overnight parking is restricted to those lots so designated. Short-term metered parking is available along Wilson Boulevard and near O'Dowd Hall.
Early in the Fall and Winter semesters are busy times, and parking lots near the main entrance fill quickly. Motorists will find parking available in the P-3 Lot (in the NW campus quadrant), the P-11 Lot (East of Central Heating, building 25), the P-37 Lot (South of Science and Engineering Building, building 8), and the P-29 Lot (Parking Deck).
