To reach the Police Department, dial 3331 from any phone on-campus or 248-370-3331 from any other phone.  Your call will be answered by professionally trained
Police Dispatchers twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.  Some of the services the Oakland University Police Department may be able to offer you include:

ROUTINE POLICE SERVICES

The Department is fully prepared to investigate any and all crimes committed on Oakland University's campus.  Likewise, motor vehicle accidents and micellaneous injuries and hazards should be reported to the Police Department by calling 248-370-3331.  An Officer will be dispatched to investigate reports of suspicious persons or vehicles.

ESCORTS 

Any time, day or night, you may call the Police Department and request an escort.

VEHICLE LOCKOUTS

A Police Officer may be able to assist if you have locked your keys inside your vehicle.  Please have the vehicle make / model, license plate, exact location of the vehicle and your name ready when you call.

MOTORIST ASSISTS / JUMP STARTS

While we regret not being able to jump start vehicles with patrol cars, we do have a set of jumper cables at the Police Station that you may borrow.  Please make sure to have your driver's license with you when you pick up the jumper cables from the Dispatch Operations Center.  The Police Department will also call a towing service for you at your request.

LOST AND FOUND

The Police Department maintains lost and found property at the Dispatch Operations Center.  To see if your lost item has been turned in, please click here or call the Dispatcher to check.  You may also drop off items you find at the Dispatch Operations Center.
